2007/Career Statistics & Game Log

Bio: was a very late draft selection by the Red Sox in 2000, and pitched so well for Portland last season that when the Sox were in need, they gave him a shot to start some games. Actually, he pitched relatively well in his four big league starts. In spring training he's been getting a good amount of starts, but will begin the season in AAA Pawtucket as a staff ace. He's probably seventh right now on the teams rotation depth chart.
Projected 2007 Statistics: 1-1, 4.50, 20, 10
Fantasy Outlook: because the team has Julian Tavarez starting the year in the rotation, and Jon Lester waiting in the wings when he's ready, Gabbard appears to be the odd man out, and may not make a start this season. Though talent wise he's the seventh guy in the rotation, he probably wouldn't start over Kyle Snyder or Matt Clement when he's ready either.
